Dynamite, 2026

“Dynamite comes in small packages”. One of my judo senseis said this to me when I first joined the San José State University judo team. The statement became more meaningful each time he repeated it, from when I began college to the present day. It shifted my perspective on how I approach adversity and how I live my life. To this day, I continue to reflect back on how much my mindset has changed: from who I was then to who I am now.
